Some things about a book I never paid attention to:

A Guardian article states at length how the book buying public are now being seduced by a book’s appearance as well as its content, how more care is being taken in the production and appearance of books. Generally, I don’t believe this is true.

For all the reasons that books are hard to read is why I love my kindle. I’ve had it for years. I can travel with lots of books. It doesn’t break my wrists if it’s a lot of pages. It doesn’t break my nose when I fall asleep. I don’t have a big house so I’m not interested in displaying all the books I’ve read. You don’t lose your place. It’s not heavy. I could go on & on. I love book stores and I feel bad about them, but I still buy my share of books. Trees are cut down. Well to some people it can’t be justified but that’s what makes the world go around. And yes I read in bed every night!! My favorite thing.

I love reading in bed, and again in the morning with a up of coffee! I’m trying to get used to my Nook;will remember all the advantages you’ve pointed out, especially when traveling! Thanks for the encouragement.
